The Big Stage!

Hello everybody!

So something really cool happened this cruise that I'm really proud of!

The world of entertainment on a cruise ship can change day to day and be full of surprises and cool opportunities. This week onboard I got the chance to perform on the big stage to around 600 lovely holiday-makers (or vacationers for my friends in the Americas!)

Due to Canada visa laws we were left without a guest entertainer show the night we docked in Victoria, Canada so i was asked to step in and throw some of my favourite songs out for a 45 minute show. Me being the old soul I am, I threw together my favourite British Invasion tunes, mixed in with some good old Country music. Think The Rolling Stones, The Beatles with a little Elton John because why not!? So out came my first attempt on the big stage with the theatre musicians accompanying me.

It was such fun and a great change of scenery from 80 person capacity lounges to a 800 seater theatre! And for good measure I played the show the first night of this voyage for good measure! I'm hoping this might be an opening to the next stage of my career!

Apart from that life is still great! I love Alaska. The scenery is still beautiful, the weather is amazing and the beer is out of this world! So much so that today on my day off I decided to take a trip to the Alaskan Brewing Co.'s brewery and it was so much fun! The company is such a forward thinking and full of great ideas! If you're ever in Juneau and beer's your thing, do it!
